However, purchasing a treadmill, elliptical or whatever type of home fitness equipment can be difficult because of all the choices. The first thing that you need to think of fast is what type of home fitness equipment you want. Do you want a elliptical, weight bench etc. Also, the next thing to consider is do you want to just tone your muscles or build muscle and get ripped.

One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to
and order you free trial (also comes with a free diet guide and recipe manual), also you only pay $7.99 shipping and handling. Good luck!

I'd put it towards at-home fitness equipment. I have none currently and I know that when it snows, it will tough to get motivation to trek to the gym!

    Of course I am! :)
The dance classes are over so now I try to get some aerobic workout at least once a week (beside my regular butt and legs workout) and I incorporated a small routine with very light weights for my arms and chest.
My thighs are still a bit sore from yesterday's workout because I used heavier weights. :-D
How come you're not sleeping well?

Please make no mistake to think that anyone here will give you a “one- fits- all” formula. People usually expect a “eat 1,500 calories and do 30 min of cardio every day” answer. You have to understand first that any answer you get here will be a guideline only and you should read blogs, book, etc. to better inform yourself. In many cases we (answering your question) will be able to give you the answer we think suits you without knowing you.

Now with that said, first you need to eat more if you want more muscle. No matter how much you lift, if you do not eat accordingly, you will not put on muscle. To tell you how much enough calories or food is for you, will be a difficult as it depends on so many thing such as your workout etc. As far as not being strong, that is OK. You will be! if you put the effort in. Think about it in long term goals as it takes hard work to get results so prepare yourself for this. As far as not liking sports/team sports, that is OK too. You are in the perfect age to start many individual sports and perhaps have not been exposed enough. Experiment with many until you find the one you like or just hit the gym. I personally think the best you could do is Olympic lifting or you could try powerlifting, any track and field sports are fun as well. All these will allow you to stay strong, healthy and will allow you to work on muscle.

Now I am not sure why your doctor is asking you to work with your own weight only. Perhaps he meant to start with until you get in shape. I don’t know your fitness level or if you have any conditions but if you only work with your body weight you will only grow that much so if this is OK with you then do this. Otherwise, it is a waste of time. You should add resistance training to your routine if you have hopes of gaining any muscle. You will soon learn that once you put on some muscle/get stronger it becomes addictive! To write an appropriate program is complicated and I should ask many questions before writing one for you. It involves long and short term goals, micro and macro cycles etc. But as a general rule you must add weights! Generally speaking I would do weights M-W-F with compound exercises as you will want to fire up as many muscle fibers as possible. I usually don’t advocate isolated exercises. Not that they are bad, they are just not best.

It is awesome that you already eat healthy; you are in the right path. This is the MOST important (and difficult) part to focus on to gain muscle. You just need to eat more protein to gain muscle. How much protein will depend on how big you want to get. A very well know rule is 1 gram of protein per Lb of body weight. Don’t worry if you have some fat around your belly, you will lose it just by exercising and eating lean and healthy. Remember don’t eat anything processed, eat lean protein, veggies and very important lots of water (muscle needs it)

I hopes this gives you a starting point. You can IM if you’d like. Stay healthy.
