Might You Be Sharing Your House With Bats?

There are no mammals other than bats that can fly. All other mammals with flight-like abilities are only capable of gliding. Most bats eat insects, while others eat fruit. Bats help pollinate tropical flowers and spread fruit seeds around so new plants can grow. There are humane and effective means by which to rid your house of bats should you discover yourself with a bat infestation.
Thanks to their ability of echolocation, bats can “see” better than human beings could ever hope to. Bats use echolocation much as we use our eyes only instead of gathering and interpreting light, bats gather and interpret sound to give them a map of their surroundings.

A couple of the scary stories are true. For instance, vampire bats actually do drink the blood of mammals and also birds, though this does not, of course, mean they are vampires. A bat will skim the surface of a body of water to collect one single drop of water, then repeat this process until its thirst has been quenched. The guano produced by bats is loaded with nutrients and is used for fertilizer, and it can also be used to make gunpowder.
While the bite of a bat won’t turn you into a vampire, it is important to understand that these bites can be quite dangerous to human beings. Though cases of rabies from animal bites are quite few in the United States, most of them do come from dogs and bats.
A bat with rabies is very ill, and may not understand what is happening. Due to the small size of their teeth, a bat bite can actually go unnoticed by someone who is sleeping at the time, or drunk from alcohol.
If a bat flutters into your home, try not to panic, and to open a window away from people inside the house. The bat will most likely eventually fly out the window. If a bunch of bats have decided to make your home theirs, your best bet is to call a pest control operation, preferably one that will handle the creatures humanely.

Can someone comment on this please? Here in NE Pa. I have last month's list of properties sold, who bought them, where they are, the mortgage amount, and who the “lender” was. There are 6 with the lender as MERS. There are 4 with the lender as Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. There is 1 with the lender as MERS-US Bank NA. There is 1 with the lender as MERS Emortgage management LLC. There is 1 with the lender as MERS First Mortgage Corp. These are reported from the courthouse filings. Now all I remember from the Mers Kansas decision is that since “….mers neither lent any money nor collected any payments…..” What is this about? Thanks, Ian
