My Huge Feet Require Huge Shoes

July 31, 2010 by · 6 Comments

I do not get to buy shoes like you do. I don’t select a pair of shoes which i like and ask for my size. I enter into a shoe store and ask what they’ve around my size. I hope for just a single pair or even a couple that i could put on.

I use a size fifteen sneaker! And if using a size fifteen is not bad enough my feet are strangely formed. A little like a potato. Strange small bends as well as toes that stick out at peculiar angles like tubers.

If I manage to discover a pair of shoes within my size that doesn’t mean that they will fit. Far from it in fact. I need a set of shoes having a broader forefoot as compared to most shoes. If that toe box is even a bit thin my toes get pinched. The natural realization is the fact that I need a broader shoe. However the second I do that the feet start to slop around in them and slip about enough that I end up with blisters if I perform any tennis or go jogging.

Too add insult to injuries I can not merely purchase myself some shoes. If I acquire some shoes I have to get my spouse some shoes too. I purchase cross trainers and she will get zumba shoes. If I purchase jogging shoes then maybe the lady gets to choose some new zumba dance costumes.

Each and every set of size fifteen pairs of shoes that i purchase ultimately ends up costing me twice.

RAISE A BILINGUAL CHILD

Many people want their kids to learn English and learn Mandarin, but what is the best to develop bilingualism in children?

TEACH BOTH LANGUAGES SIMULTANEOUSLY. A child has the inborn capability to learn English and learn Chinese. As such, children under three or four need not be able to distinguish which sentence is English and which is Mandarin. To naturally help child to build up the language logics, we need to teach them to express themselves in correct, fluent sentences in a conducive environment which will lead to successful bilingualism. Flashcards is also good tool to help children acquire the languages.

AVOID MIXING THE TWO LANGUAGES. When communicating with young ones , consistently use language that is correct and standardized. To main the purity of each language, we should not mix both languages in a single sentence.

BUILD A CONDUCIVE HOME ENVIRONMENT. The most ideal home environment for bilingualism is to have someone talking with the kid wholly in English, and someone communicating with the child wholly in Mandarin.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT SCHOOL. Some families lack the environment for bilingualism. Thus, selecting a good bilingual school for the child will be important. When learning a language, a kid requires more than one or two hours of lessons in class – the language environment in their daily lives also plays a big role. In class, children learn through nursery rhymes, songs and storybooks. Although most young ones are able to read and speak Chinese, they are unable to communicate with others and express themselves appropriately in their daily lives. Therefore, when it comes to bilingual schools, mothers should evaluate the classroom lessons as well as the bilingual environment.

LOOK FOR ENRICHMENT CLASSES IN CHINESE. For a child to master bilingualism, Mandarin lessons alone may not achieve the best results. To balance children’s exposure to the two languages, parents can look for calligraphy, dance and music classes that are taught in Mandarin.
