Sugaring and Waxing Compared
August 12, 2009 by John38 · 10 Comments
Waxing and Sugaring are similar types of hair removal processes. Both methods have been around for hundreds of years with usage by both women and men. Sugaring actually has a history of use going back centuries in the Middle East and Asia.
Sugaring
Sugaring involves making a paste or gum from sugar, water, and lemon juice which is then applied to the hair to be removed. A major advantage of sugaring for those planning to do everything themselves is that the ingredients and equipment are cheap, environmentally friendly and universally available. The sugaring process does not use wax but it is often referred to as sugar wax because of the similarity to the regular wax mthod of hair removal.
Sugar wax sticks strongly to hair however it does not stick to the skin as strongly as normal wax. In a sise by side comparison of the two methods it has been reported that sugaring is significantly less painful than waxing. People with sensitive skin tend to favor this method as it’s more gentle on the skin than waxing.
One advantage of sugaring is that is is cleaned up very easy as the sugar dissolves in water. Any leftovers can be stored for next time or eaten if you have a sweet tooth! It is simply a type of sugar candy.
Waxing
Waxing involves heating a wax compound which is then applied to the hair to be removed. The wax is usually purchased from a retail store and costs about twenty to thirty dollars. You may also be able to purchase it from a store or online as a complete kit with accessories.
The actual process of applying the wax and then removing the hair is identical to sugaring. The warm wax tends to stick to to skin as well as hair so the removal process is more painful and temporarily leaves red marks and bumps.
Because wax is not water soluble it is harder to clean off some surfaces.
Both Methods
The actual hair removal process is similar with both methods leading to similar results. When the hair regrows there is less of it and it is softer and silkier. There is none of the cuts, nicks, coarse stubble or ingrown hair caused by shaving.
Waxing and sugaring are simple processes that anyone can perform in the privacy of their home but there are beauty salons that also provide these services.

Where To Buy Parvaid And Things You Need To Know
May 27, 2009 by John38 · 8 Comments
The problem of where to buy Parvaid would seem simple enough – just go to the local store and pick up a bottle.
Sorry, that’s just too easy; it is a little more involved than that.
Parvaid is an herbal product that is chemical and synthetic-free. It is both safe and effective. Lamentably, it is not a chemical-based drug, which means that most vets trained in Western Medicine totally dismiss organic products as nothing but some alternative solution that cannot possibly work as it has not been “FDA”-approved.
Herbal products that are food supplements or botanicals, which is true of Parvaid and its related products, do not need to be evaluated by the FDA and therefore do not have to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
Whenever you run into non-traditional and non-mainstream products, you will find a wall of resistance. Most vets know next to nothing of organic treatments, and most of the time they will be quite dismissive of any product that wasn’t produced by a drug manufacturer as they get a lot of financial incentives for promoting drugs from the big pharmaceutical companies; whereas the small independent herbalist can’t come close to matching the payoff levels that a company the size of Pfizer, for example, can use to incentivize a struggling vet.
It’s therefore very hard to get inexpensive herbal products into established distribution chains. The financial rewards are simply not there, there will be far less residual income, which is because herbal products frequently provide long-term relief vs. drugs that produce a wide range of side-effects that in turn mean you need yet more drugs to counter-act the side-effects, and all this ever does is to put a sticking plaster on the problems, to the point where you might have to take pills and such for the rest of your life – and that, of course, is a nice, steady earner for vets, month in, month out.
Given a choice between getting paid once or getting paid over and over, which do you think the big drug companies will select?
Unfortunately, there used to be a proud tradition in this country of using organic products to solve all kinds of ailments, but a couple of hundred years ago, drugs began to appear, large marketing campaigns were set in motion proclaiming how terrific drugs are and that they are the only road to good health, and so the propaganda machine went on full force.
The organic market could not then and by-and-large still cannot compete with fat cats and their deep pockets. If you brainwash people, day after day after day, with hype-filled ads that play on their emotions, they will get so worn down that they will come to believe the only viable solution is drugs.
The “pop a couple of pills and everything will be OK” mentality is all that most people know, because it’s what they grew up with. But nowadays bugs (i.e. bacteria, parasites, viruses, germs) are getting very strong and immune to traditional treatments. You may find it easier to get your hands on chemical-based products but you probably won’t get the type of relief that you need.
Products such as Parvaid work with the body, and not against, it, to help it heal from within. It would be nice to be able to go to your local market and find these organic type products, but as they are not mainstream and there are no big companies willing to promote this type of alternative treatment plan, you will not readily find these kinds of products in supermarkets, or even in the larger pet stores such as Pet Smart of Pet Co. You may, however, be more likely to find what you’re looking for if you look in small independent feed stores or pet stores.
But before you do this, there are a few things you need to know first.
Most of the smaller retailers selling Parvaid just carry this product like any other product, and they know nothing about how it works or how to use it successfully. For them this is just another product on the shelf.
Now, in order to maximize your dog’s chance for a successful recovery, you will need to know how to use this product and you will also have to administer several home remedies for Parvo in conjunction. Unfortunately, most retailers neither have the necessary knowledge nor expertise.
Another crucial factor is that the manufacturer now specifies a minimum requirement for four different products to treat dogs with Parvo (as well as exposed adult dogs), and yet many retailers do not carry the full set of required products.
This leaves you with a dilemma: spend valuable time hunting down a retail store in your area (and this could be hundreds of miles away) and hope that they have what you need product-wise, and then come home and deal with your sick pets on your own as best you can, or you could buy the products online.
The advantage of buying from a retail store is that you will probably save some time and some money (i.e. you won’t incur any shipping costs, although you will pay for gas), but the disadvantage is that you will get absolutely zero support. If anything does go wrong, because no matter how good the products are (and they are!), some dogs don’t respond to the standard treatment protocols for any number of reasons and therefore need adjusted dosage schedules, you’ll probably find that you’ll get no help from the store you bought the products from as they simply won’t have the knowledge and experience that you’ll need.
If you decide to buy Parvaid online, then you need to examine who is selling the products, how much experience do they have in case you need help, which is most of the time, and how reliable is their website.
The Internet is well known for being a place where websites will take your money and run, without ever delivering what you ordered.
One way you can tell is to look for the quantity of Parvo information that is on their website. If there is very little info then they probably don’t know much about it and are just selling another product.
Also, check to see what types of shipping methods are available. If they only offer USPS Priority Mail for example, that means they have no clue about how deadly this virus is and time is against you, so UPS or FedEx Overnight services are the ONLY acceptable shipping methods for sick animals.
We’ve dealt with 870 cases of Parvo (and counting), we only use FedEx Overnight for sick animals (Monday – Saturday deliveries), we wrote a 100+ page book all about Parvo which you can download instantly to your computer, Parvo Treatment 101 (no charge), we have developed (and frequently update) the most comprehensive Parvo Home Remedy Plan that will help sustain your sick dog until your products can be delivered, and throughout the treatment schedule, that you will find anywhere on the Internet, and we are the only people offering 24×7 personal phone coaching (also at no additional charge).
If your property is infected with Parvo, assuming you have dogs, or with Feline Distemper, if you have cats (because, unfortunately, dogs can pass Parvo on to cats, where it manifests itself in the form of Feline Distemper, also known as Feline Panleukopenia), then it is more than likely that you will need some support (maybe at 3:00am on a Sunday morning, when you won’t be able to contact most vets or retail stores, of course) to help you through this horrific ordeal.
If you have not already done so, please visit ParvoBuster to help get your pets back on their feet again, and while you’re there, don’t forget to check out the many Parvaid testimonials left by some of our many satisfied customers.
